What the three stages actually are
A decontamination wash so the coating meets clean paint rather than grit, then prep, which is the stage that decides whether the coating bonds at all and the one that disappears when a price looks surprisingly low, then the coating itself. We only use quality products backed with a 1, 5 and 10 year warranty.

Paint correction is not included, and that is the most important sentence here.
A coating is transparent and it follows the surface it is applied to. If the paint underneath has swirl marks, light scratches and dulling, the coating will lock all of that in and add gloss on top of it. You end up with a shiny vehicle whose existing imperfections are now sealed under something durable.
That is why we say it up front rather than at the end. On a nearly new car there may be almost nothing to correct. On a ten year old daily driver there may be a great deal. If correcting the paint first is the right call for your vehicle, the Royal Treatment package is where scratch and swirl removal lives.
